Tulip Metals (Pty) Ltd was incorporated under the Republic of South Africa Companies act of 1973 and registered with CIPRO (registrar of companies) on 1 December 2004. Initially formed to deal in various scrap metal products in Durban, the company relocated and currently operates within the Reef regions of RSA, namely, Johannesburg, Pretoria & Nelspruit.

We deal with all kinds of recyclables like ferrous scrap metal, non-ferrous scrap metal & paper scrap. The company only deals with registered suppliers and is involved in local buying of the recyclables in containers and exporting them to preferential customers based in Asia. Tulip, as it is popularly known in the industry, has commercial staff in its employ, who are trained in the main aspects of the trade which involves segregation, inspection, packing, weight-maximization, etc. Thus Tulip is a major contributor to the economy of South Africa by giving employment opportunities to many personnel in the Packaging, Shipping & Logistics, and Transportation sectors.

This background of the company also makes it possible for Tulip to get quality materials & quote competitive prices from its buyers as well as suppliers. Tulip also brings in valuable foreign exchange into the country besides being contributors to the exchequer through VAT, corporate taxes & salary taxes of its employees.
